Halldór Úlfarsson's studio in Kipseli, Athens. A live-work space with excellent workshop facilities. Informally a residency for instrument makers and builders.
I consider the studio a resource to support and further collaborations relating to my own work.
But I am also open to renting it out to friends and colleagues for other work on fair terms.
Kipseli is a dense, inner-city neighbourhood north of Exarchia - walkable, with a mix of Greeks and foreigners. Fokionos Negri, the pedestrian boulevard two minutes away, has bars, cafés and restaurants running its length.
The area has many artist-run spaces: studios, print shops, ceramics, showrooms. The vibe is good.
